Integrations
Interpreter ships with a set of built-in integrations for the systems most knowledge workers already use. Turn them on in Settings, and the agent gains the matching tools.
What's available
- email (Nylas)
- Telegram
- image generation
- screenshot
- slide generation
- video editing
Each one is configured in Settings under Integrations. You connect once, then the agent can use those tools across any agent and profile.
How they show up to the agent
When you turn an integration on, the agent gains a related set of tools. Connecting email exposes things like send_email, draft_email, and search_email. Connecting Telegram exposes send_telegram_message. The tools go through your approvals policy like everything else, so sending a message or writing to an outside system can pause for review.
Email (Nylas)
Email is connected through Nylas. Sign in with your provider (Google, Microsoft, or IMAP) through the OAuth flow in Settings. Once connected, the agent can draft replies, send follow-ups, triage threads, and pull context from past mail when you ask. Keep approvals on for sending until you're sure of the workflow.
Messaging (Telegram, WhatsApp)
Connect your account in Settings. The agent can then send messages on your behalf. This is most useful for status pings, scheduled updates, and pulling context out of a chat you don't want to scroll yourself. Approvals matter here — outbound messages are usually a good thing to pause on.
Media (image gen, slide gen, video editing, screenshot)
These integrations matter when a workflow's output is visual. Generate a chart for a report, build a deck from a spreadsheet, cut a clip from a long recording, or capture the current screen as a reference for a later step.
Pattern
Most people wire one integration at a time. Connect it, prove a workflow end-to-end, then add the next. Don't turn everything on at once — you'll spend more time tuning approvals than building real workflows.
